THE SUSPECTS Examples of just 3 of the suspect cards that detail either a suspect’s motive, means or opportunity to kill the victim.
DEADCERT - LONDON 2015 This is the very first edition of Deadcert, set in the heart of London during the first 6 months of 2015. The locations (for the majority of the Crime Scenes) are real. The events surrounding the Times of Death are a seamless blend of fact and fiction. The Victims - and Suspects - are all fictitious, but live in the London of 2015, with issues of the time. With up to 512 realistic murders to be solved, this is more of a card drama than purely a card game. 64 suspects whose histories, passions and predisposition to commit murder, are revealed the more you play - all interlaced with the lives of the 8 potential victims. Some characters you are likely to instantly detest while others you may grow to like and feel sympathy for. The number and mix of characters, together with the heady variety of gritty storylines, may even lead to Deadcert being included within the illustrious list of highly regarded, Crime Drama Box Sets.
BASIC PLAY Whichever format you play, the basic aim of the game is the same. Firstly, you need to establish who the killer is. They will be the only suspect to of had Motive, Means and Opportunity to carry out the murder. Your second mission is to gather the incriminating evidence that identifies the culprit before the game concludes. With 37 suspects - 10 of whom will be prime - it is not a straight forward task. It requires a certain degree of Detective prowess to come out on top (and a little luck)!
THE GAME SET 5 Evidence packs - labelled A to E - containing 60 cards each, are neatly housed in compartments within the slide out tray. 3 Spare slots are also left for the Expansion Packs - labelled F to H - if they are subsequently added. Each game - or murder episode - is created by selecting a victim, time of death and crime scene detail card from any of the 5 packs that are available, creating 125 possible murder mysteries. The related suspect cards are then extracted and used in the game play. As well as the 300 cards, 25 resealable polythene evidence bags are included along with a Checklist pad with 30 double sided sheets and the “How to be a Deadcert Detective” guide. The design enables the box to be stored in any position - upright or flat - without the contents being disturbed.
3 PLAY FORMATS Ideal for rookie and seasoned Detectives alike. No Checklist to record evidence - you just need to employ you memory skills a little! This format is for the more professional - and sneaky - Detectives among you, where you get to Snoop on your colleagues cards! This gives the solitary PI the perfect opportunity to solve a case by themselves. All cases are winnable, but some will be harder than others.

EXPAND THE POSSIBILITIES Expansion Packs dramatically increase the possible murder episodes from the 125 contained with initial Game Set, up to 512 if all 3 Evidence Packs - labelled F, G & H - are subsequently added. Each Evidence Pack adds a further Victim, Crime Scene and Time of Death to the London murder mix. Please note that Expansion Packs can be purchased in any order.
SNOOPS Snoop cards add an element of sneakiness to both Open and Covert play formats and form a vital role in the end game of the Solo format.
