VERY IMPORTANT BACKERS This column has been set aside to list all* the VIB’s that were instrumental in making Deadcert a reality by taking us to our Kickstarter Project Target! Their names will be listed on this site as a permanent reminder of the individuals who made it all possible, in recognition of their faith and support in the new breed of Card Drama. *All Kickstarter backers will be eligible to be shown here but may choose to opt out having their name listed.
A DEADCERT COMMUNITY My idea of community is one that is naturally born and developed by those that play Deadcert, and hopefully the other ‘cert’ games that are to follow. As Deadcert is based on realistic characters I hope that players get the satisfaction of engaging with them, as much as characters they may see in a TV drama series or read in a crime thriller - with one or two characters perhaps making further appearances in future Deadcerts. The fact that one expanded set of Deadcert (with all 8 evidence packs that are available) can occupy a total of 48 people playing 8 different murder episodes at the same time may also play a part in building a community of Deadcerters. We have ambitious plans to expand the life of the Deadcert games beyond the physical cards with the development of extra material freely accessible via this community area, but that can only happen if we can launch the game from a successful Kickstarter campaign. This is only the beginning of a long creative path for certgames, and one that I feel would be greatly enriched by a community that I hope will flourish. - David Hockley, Deadcert’s Creator (October 2015)
SOCIAL MEDIA Our Deadcert  Facebook page was created back in the summer of 2014 and provides behind the scenes access to the development story of Deadcert. We hope this will evolve further - once the game is out there - into an informal social space. The Certgames Twitter account has been set up to provide access to company news and direct contact with our certcare. At present our YouTube channel has nothing to share, but we plan to upload videos shortly that talk about the game play tactics, tips and advice. As for the rest, we hope to expand our presence across the other social media platforms in the near future.
